When children are young and learning to read they are most influenced by their adult role models who have a love of books and enjoy reading. Sharing a book with a young child increases their vocabulary, increases their foundational knowledge of the world, teaches them about other cultures and other people, fosters their understanding of the English language, and places deep within them a desire to know more. Einstein once said he was not so much brilliant as insatiably curious. Stimulating a child’s curiosity with reading places them on the road to realizing their full potential.
